Mega Man Marathon!

So, besides playing my usual array of games, I’ve added two interesting titles/series to my arsenal.

I’m currently playing through all 8 of the original Mega Mans. Why do I say playing instead of replaying?

Well, that’s because I’ve never played them despite a few moments of 2 and all of 9. I started Thursday afternoon. I finished Mega Man (1) this morning, and I’m currently on the second to last boss of Wily’s Castle in 2. I’m finding them WAY easier than I expected them to be.

I tend to fly through the robot masters on my first run and than have a bit of trouble on the Wily stages but still get through it relatively fast. I’d always heard they were hard, I mean, I’m playing with a fucking keyboard and I’m doing this.

The other new game added to my arsenal is a program called SWGEmu. Which stands for Star Wars Galaxies Emulator. Well, if you look up SWG, you’ll see that it’s an MMO(RPG) that’s still going. Well, if it’s still going why emulate it?

Well, because there was a patch called the Combat Update, that completely revamped the game, and many patches after that that changed it, and not, in the eyes of the players, for the better.

So this game is emulating the Pre-CU gameplay. The reason this is better is because SWG has now moved into the normal MMORPG area, with a crappy generic story and basic character development with little room for variation. Where as before, the game was one of the few MMO Sandboxes. You can combine classes however you wish, do whatever you want, group as you wish, create, explore, ANYTHING. It’s incredible how vast it really is.

I’m not very far, but I’m beginning to grasp how expansive everything is, that I can really make a name for myself as if I’m truly living in the Star Wars universe.

It’s really incredible.

LAN PARTY CLUB!!

Just a quick update, I’ve been busy with school which is loads harder this year, and I’ve been playing lots of games as well as posting on forums. So not much time to update, but I will give you a quick heads up on our AWESOMENESS idea.

Me and my friends are making a LAN party club. We’ve engineered it so that we’ll mod games for like 10 minutes than have free time to just, well, have a LAN party.

We’re gonna play everything and it’s gonna be epic. Nothing even comes close.

Well, just dropped by to say a couple little quickies.  First off, I just saw 9 and it was FUCKING AWESOME.

I loved every minute of it, definitely see it if you get the chance.  Review will be up on GL tomorrow.

Second, I made it through the first week back at school.  God did it suck.  I’m more anti-social than ever before too! I’m also apparently well known for my incredible skill at beat-boxing.  First I’ve ever heard of it.

Lastly, if you’re ever looking for some relaxing electronic music look no further than I Am Robot and I Am Proud.  He’s REALLY relaxing, and some great chiptunes are hidden in there as well.

Wassup guys? I’m here today to tell you about this awesome new (relatively) game I recently downloaded.

It’s called Trine, and I’d been thinking of grabbing it off of Steam for a while, it’s a side-scrolling puzzle game that utilizes the 3 main characters different attributes. It’s plot is nothing complex. There’s a magical diamond, machine, thing, and all 3 characters wind up being drawn to it for various reasons and they are suddenly one soul with different physical manifestations. Simply speaking.

So, you get thrown in pretty fast.  The main puzzle solving is done with the Wizard, using his magic to conjure items to help you pass, the Thief is used mostly for long range combat and traversing things, than the Knight/Soldier is used to beat the crap out of the undead, or to be craftily used for his shield.

All in all it’s a very fun game and only a small $20 fee on Steam.  Very amusing, has a very classic feel to it, definitely worth the money.

Oh right! I thought I’d also add, it’s got an RPG system where your characters level up.  Pretty much, from killing bosses and challenging enemies and from getting to challenging spots you’ll get experience, and once you get a certain amount each character gains an experience point which allows you to upgrade their abilities.  You can also pick up items from chests which gives you special abilities or a whole new skill.

Definitely a cool game.

Twilight review… if you can call it that.

My friend rented Twilight from Netflix for the luls.

We tried to watch it. We tried… We could only make it halfway through before we had to turn it off.

It was funny for a little while, and then it just started to make me angry. It made me angry because girls actually see this as ‘romantic’. They say that they want to find their Edward. Edward Cullen is a homicidal stalker. Isabella Swan is a clueless retard. That’s about the extent of it. Bella goes to the new school, and apparently everyone instantly falls in love with her, except for Edward, who tries to avoid her. So apparently that makes her want to be with him. She tries to talk to him, and then he ends up stalking her, and she catches him, and figures out he’s a vampire, and BAM. They’re in love.

THAT’S NOT A FUCKING LOVE STORY.

FFS. What the hell is wrong with girls? Do they really think that they’re looking for a ‘nice guy’, or have they realized that all they really want is a good looking guy that will treat them like shit, and are in denial about it? Maybe they’re concerned about their image, because that’s apparently all that really matters in high school. God damn it… Just… god… damn it.

God I Love Raping

I mean really, who plays video games that they suck at?

Earlier today I was playing my addiction, TF2, and I was on my favorite arena server (RAGE), and the teams were uber stacked.  I was top of my team with 2 kills… The leader on the other team had 60 points.  It was ridiculous, and nobody would scramble.  So I got really pissed and went and watched TV  and did other stuff for several hours.

About an hour ago I decided to try again, I played some arena, did mediocre, than I decided I’d use my trick card, and play Spy.  I rape as spy if you didn’t already know this.  I just have a magical talent at finding people’s backs.

Anyway, so I decide to play some good ole Payload, but rather than do the normal Goldrush or Badwater, or maybe even Hoodoo I decide to play a funkadelic custom map.  I originally tried to get into a Swiftwater server but all were full, that I could find anyway, so I found a cool little map called Dynamite2.  I downloaded it and played it.

Jesus christ if I hadn’t done that I might not have had such a “good” day today.  Let’s just say the ending k/d ratio was 3/1 and I was leading both teams by 20 points.  God I love spy. My favorite moment was when a medic+heavy was charging the other team (we were defending).  The heavy died, somehow, and me and the medic were standing there.  I went to unstealth and kill this engie I saw, when suddenly a pyro was on top of me and the medic.  In desperation the medic ubered, and saw me dieing.  Ubered me, so I’m a spy and I’m ubered.  What do I do? I try and stab the pyro failing, than a sniper tries to join the fight.  I do a quick 180 and rape his backhole, or make him one anyway.  Than the pyro is pretty pissed, but I ignore him ’cause the medic got lotsa ubercharge left, so I go for the engy again, end up sapping his buildings and stabbing him.  Than it runs out and the pyro returns, only to die from a shot as he runs away.

One of the most fulfilling moments in my spy career.

So seriously, who the hell plays video games when they SUCK at them?

Guitar Hero 5

My friend Chris preordered Guitar Hero 5, and it came out today, so he, Kevin, Dustin and I all got together to play it. It kicks serious ass. It feels more like you’re really up there, and the avatar player feature is awesome. Plus I can play as Kurt Cobain now, and that is really badass. When we started out I was singing, but vocals are really tough, so eventually I gave up. I had to sing on the Nirvana songs though (and I almost got 100% on them).

This game is amazing. If a friend has it, go to their house and play it. Now. If nobody else has it, get it and play it. Now. Rent it or buy it, I don’t care, it will stomp your colon.

How?!

Man, I’ve never really known, how do you get into the competitive gaming circuit?

People will say things like “Well if you’re good you’ll get invites to clans.” and stuff but nobody REALLY does. I’ve been playing on one clan server for like 2 months, kicking ass and taking names, frequently raping clan members yet all I’ve gotten is a couple of them to friend me, they’re cool people, don’t get me wrong, but I want to be IN the clan, not just friends with it! I don’t understand, this is an invite only clan so I can’t just be like “Yeah, let me in…NOW.”

I just don’t understand,  it’s impossible to find a clan to join except those huge ass ones, which are useless anyway because there are so many members.

I’ll look for servers with a clan name, or a website in the description but it’s still impossible to find, the ones I do find are gigantic.  I’m not just talking like the huge player games/maps, I mean going down to the customs and the small maps yet still finding no small groups to try and join.

It bugs me because I know I’m at least good enough to play with some of the clan members, if I was bragging I’d say I could probably dominate quite a few but I don’t know because I can’t play with them! Or if I do (on random servers) I have every right to assume they’re not playing seriously.

I just find it ridiculously hard to get into the competitive market, I almost want to start my own clan but I don’t have the money nor the time.

Meh, if anyone has any ideas on how to get me into it I’m talking Team Fortress 2 here, if the clan also plays CS:S I’m willing to play it more to get better but I’d prefer a TF2 clan.
